Office Student 2010 Can You Still Use It?

Microsoft Office Home Student 2010, along with other editions of the same suite was released for some years now. A lot of new features have indeed been added to Office 2010 and a lot of them were a stepping stone for what the platform would become in years to come.  One significant change people may welcome is that Office 2010 may change the way people create and manage their documents and presentations.  So just what are the perks of this suite above its predecessor? Read on to learn more.

First, in Microsoft Word, you are given a whole lot more abilities. Your photos can be edited right on Word itself. You can input color changes, editing the photo background and even removing objects that you want to discard from the frame. Word art is more flexible and the Search feature is much more simplified and it has a paste preview! There are a lot of other things you can do with text from changing regular text into word art, among others.

Second, with Excel, you have the ability to put a graph in a small cell. This allows you to show your colleagues certain trends and this is known as Sparklines. This is different from the charts in Office 2007. Excel 2010 is much easier to follow and much more accurate.  The PivotTable also works to filter and compartmentalize data into different layers. You don’t have to spend as much time formatting and you can go right into the representational aspects of Excel.

PowerPoint 2010 also becomes a more versatile tool. PowerPoint this time, allows you to put video media in your presentation. This time you can edit, change contrast and do other things to enhance your video. Broadcast Slide Show allows you to share your presentation via the Internet and your viewers don’t even need PowerPoint in order to view your presentation.

OneNote is easier to organize, track and share different notes using different media. You can choose the auto highlighting feature to make your work faster and Linked Notes makes things much easier.

The thing you might notice the most of Microsoft office home student 2010 is the Office Backstage! This replaces the classic File menu by placing one common hub for file management. Basic functions such as Save and Publish are located in Office Backstage and it becomes much easier to access file commands. You can also customize the tabs so that it will suit your way of working.

Office 2010 is a neat package and you might just enjoy it if you have been a Microsoft user for a long time.
